Friends of CFI Westwater Canyon Overnight River Trip

, payment in full for deposit. Includes BLM special use fees. For adults and youth 12 and older. Space limited.

This special trip features Founding Director and Naturalist Karla VanderZanden special guests and is for CFI members and guests (new members welcome!). Join these two "river women" who have devoted their lives to sharing the beauty and wonders of canyonlands through their work and friendship. Besides enjoying the spectacular scenery and Class III whitewater, this trip helps raise awareness and funds to support CFI's work with youth.

Karla at Westwater Canyon Karla worked as a Ranger at Westwater in the early 1980's then went on to cofounded CFI in 1984. Karla highlights lesser known Westwater tales and natural history. Camp beneath the stunning red cliffs and black rock inner gorge of this "mini Grand Canyon" proposed as a Wild and Scenic River and enjoy delicious meals, featuring locally grown and organic foods.
