| The Canyon's Edge: Science, Story and Soul on the Colorado Plateau
Our field camp program immerses students in the high desert. They gain an understanding of the physical and cultural geography of the Colorado Plateau, with special emphasis on the soils, geology, water, plants, animals, cultural history, and human relationships within this arid land. Activities include personal and group field science investigations, naturalist observations, role playing, sketching, desert literature readings, writing activities and physical challenge and adventure through hikes and river rafting a mild stretch of the Colorado River.
At Professor Valley Field Camp, we now have picturesque Camping Tipis with cots! You still need to bring your sleeping bag, pad and ground cloth; rentals are available from CFI.
