- Description: The Camp Cook / Site Steward position provides the opportunity to work with CFI’s outdoor education programs for either spring or fall (or both) season. He/she live and work 90% of the time at Professor Valley Field Camp, which is a remote high desert field camp located amidst remarkable red-rock mesas about 25 miles outside Moab, UT. Camp Host Volunteer

Camp Cook and Commissary Intern

- Note: This is a part time position with the actual schedule dependent on bookings. Busy times would be late April through mid June.
- Description: The Weekend Camp Cook and Commissary Intern works with the full-time Camp Cook and Operations Manager. Main duties will be managing the kitchen and cooking meals for adult and/or school groups at our field camp during weekend programs. Group sizes may range from 10 to 40+ participants. Kitchen facilities are outdoor (similar to a "river kitchen"). Other "in town" duties may include: food shopping, assisting with menu planning, maintenance and upkeep in the commissary, etc. These duties would be performed during regular weekdays. Summer Teen Guide Training

- Description: Apply for Summer TEEN Guide Training for CFI’s Explorer Base Camp out of Moab, Utah. Earn money, learn, and work alongside CFI Naturalist Guides as we lead kids in 5th - 8th grades through a 4-day, 3-night camp in the La Sal Mountains with a day of rafting the Colorado River ‘Daily’ stretch. The position is designed for teens interested in becoming professional guides or outdoor educators. Outdoor Education Program Intern

River and Land Tour Guide

- Description: Outdoor education nonprofit seeks professional river and land tour guide with experience and Utah river guide license. This position is for those with previous CFI experience and current licenses. Must have a current Utah River Guide license, current medical certificates and be familiar with CFI stretches of river. Guest land tour guides should be well versed as "generalists" about the Colorado Plateau with expertise in one area: desert ecology, cultural history/anthropology or public lands issues and have current medical certificates. Apprentice Naturalist River Guide

- Description: This Apprentice Naturalist River Guide training program is for outdoor educators wanting river rafting and guiding skills. Includes river rescue, vehicle and trailer handling (van and 4 wheel drive manual transmission), trip logistics, river and land based school program curriculum, introduction to the Colorado Plateau and more.
