Westwater Whitewater River Rescue - Active hands-on training in risk management. This is a swiftwater rescue course on Westwater Canyon on the Colorado River.

Fee: $400.00 Deposit $125.00 balance due 30 days prior; fees include boats, shuttles, meals, support, river use fees. Deposit non-refundable unless you fill your spot. Class session in Moab followed by overnight Westwater Canyon river trip.

For commercial guide, private boater, field biologist, emergency & ranger personnel. Previous river running experience required.

River Skills - An Introduction to Whitewater Rafting. Learn the skills needed to safely boat Western rivers. Covers the basics for beginners. Includes a Westwater Canyon overnight trip. Class I-IV rapids.

Overview:
This course is designed as an overall introduction for the aspiring beginning guide or novice private boater. Trip includes an outfitted trip through Westwater Canyon on the Colorado River, all meals starting with dinner Friday through lunch on Sunday, river use fees, shuttle and intensive instruction on the many aspects of boating. Youth over 12 welcome. Starts and ends in Cisco, Utah.
